I have counselling rooms at The Counselling Centre for MKMIND in Central Milton Keynes. Please contact me for details and the address.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND OR PARTNER ALONG TO A MEETING?
As these sessions are your time and because of confidentiality it would not be appropriate for a friend or partner to come with you. I can offer couples counselling services if that is what you would like.
DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS?
Unfortunately no, I accept cash in advance for the following week or be happy to accept BACs payment.
HOW LONG DOES EACH SESSION LAST?
The first session is normally an hour and a half, then the session will be 50 minutes each.
DO I NEED TO BOOK THE FULL COURSE?
I would book out your time slots and this would be for the first 6 weeks and reviewed thereafter.
HOW LONG DOES A COUNSELLING COURSE LAST?
Counselling sessions are normally between 6 to 12 sessions. I would review how we are progressing after the 4th and on going sessions.
WHAT HAPPENS AT A COUNSELLING SESSION?
At the first initial free session we will cover the contract details and fees and go over how confidentiality works. I will ask you what brought you to counselling services. You will be free to talk about any topic or issue you feel you want to in a safe environment without me judging you.
WHAT SHOULD I TALK TO YOU ABOUT?
The session is your time and space and it is up to you what you bring to the session and want to talk about.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED COUNSELLING / PSYCHOTHERAPY?
You are the only one that can make that decision. Talking to someone, who is not a friend or family member may help to make sense of what is happening. Counselling services are there for you it is your time and space. A counsellor could help you make sense of your life..
WE ARE A BUSINESS AND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE COUNSELLING AVAILABLE FOR OUR STAFF SHOULD THEY NEED IT, CAN THIS BE ARRANGED ON A CONTRACTUAL BASIS?
Yes, I am more than happy to offer corporate rates for counselling services and would be happy to come and discuss this with you.
HOW CAN I BE ASSURED OF A PRACTITIONERS' PROFESSIONALISM?
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation. You will be able to see my membership of professional bodies and my qualifications on my Home page. It is the responsibility of each counsellor/psychotherapist to adhere to an Ethical Framework and continually update their skills and training via continued professional development and supervision.
